Jeep Unveils Updated Wrangler Lineup with New Powertrain and Enhanced Features
Jeep has introduced its refreshed Wrangler range, featuring a new petrol engine and several subtle upgrades designed to enhance its appeal against modern competitors.
Exterior Enhancements
Visually, the most notable change is the redesigned seven-slot grille, inspired by the Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition. This refreshed grille features revised textures for improved airflow while lending the Wrangler a more modern aesthetic. Though subtle, this design update enhances the vehicle’s overall contemporary appeal.
Interior and Technology Upgrades
Inside, Jeep has focused on boosting comfort and safety. Side-curtain airbags are now standard for both front and rear passengers, reinforcing occupant protection. A major addition is the 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Further enhancing the cabin’s premium feel are 12-way power-adjustable leather front seats, offering greater comfort and convenience.

Power and Performance
The most significant update lies under the hood, as all models now come equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 200 kW and 400 N.m of torque. Paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, this powertrain allows the Wrangler to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 7.6 seconds. Jeep continues to emphasize the Wrangler’s off-road capabilities, with its body-on-frame construction, five-link suspension, solid axles, and available electronic locking differentials. The Rubicon model further benefits from a full-float Dana rear axle, ensuring enhanced durability and power delivery across challenging terrains.
